One of my favorite parts of developing the Brimfield Flea Finder app, has been meeting so many talented passionate people who love what they do. This series of Brimfield Dealer Profiles will highlight a small sample of dealers that can be found using the app. For the July show I will focus on a handful of dealers who have participated and supported the app from the beginning. I'm thrilled to help shine a little more light on these businesses that they work so hard building and running every day.
Heja Home
Moroccan rugs and vintage modern decor. The Meadows, site 12. Use the Brimfield Flea Finder app to find Heja Home at the show or their contact info between shows.
Tomorrow is the last day of the show and if you are heading there make sure you have Heja Home on your list of dealers to visit. They consistently bring painfully cool mid century modern furniture and the most gorgeous Moroccan rugs to the show. Plus they always have unique art and home accents mixed in. If you don't get to them tomorrow, make sure to hit them up in September because they never disappoint. Don't worry, I'll remind you!
Jason and Heather Rosfeld are the husband and wife team that make up Heja Home. They have been selling vintage modern furniture for several years on Etsy and locally at Barge Canal Market in Burlington, VT. They had attended Brimfield over the years, but May of 2013 was when they began selling at the show.
Their booth is always a fun place to shop. Heather describes it as a a mixture of hand-selected Moroccan rugs, modern furniture with a variety of unique accents and art. "Decorating should be fun and our style has always been about mixing it up! Modern and eclectic, bohemian and Scandanavia, Danish and Moroccan." This year they began bringing a full size teepee to their booth! How fun is that?
Heja Home has found a permanent home at The Meadows after trying out a few different fields. They felt The Meadows was a great fit for them. Heather says, "there is an amazing selection of vendors and you can find quality alongside quantity. It's a great field for anyone looking for truly unique home decor."
Since much of their business is online, they look forward to Brimfield all year. They enjoy the energy and scope of the show and appreciate the opportunity to connect with new and existing designers, stylists and clients face to face. They make sure to take time to shop throughout the week because "you never know when you might find that perfect piece!" They also find inspiration from other vendors and are always looking for new items to use in their booth or the shop.
Favorite Brimfield memory: "We have gotten to know certain Brimfield customers over the years that always stop by our booth and this is always a highlight. Oh yeah, and that time a bear ate our cooler."
Favorite Brimfield food: "Homemade ice cream root beer float in the meadow's field. Can't beat it."
Best tip for shoppers: "Keep an open mind. Most likely you will find something you weren't shopping for. There are few places with so much variety in one location and it helps to think creatively. Also, come prepared to walk…comfortable shoes, hat, and water are a must."
Favorite thing about the July show: "Because the July show tends to be more relaxed and less crowded it can be a nice change of pace. There is still plenty to see and great deals to be had."
